چکیده

Oily wastewater is generated from various sources within the petrochemical industry, including extraction, refining and processing, storage, transportation. Over years, large volumes of oily this industry have made their way into environment, negatively affecting human health, economy. The raw waters can differ significantly complex features, making them difficult to treat. Membrane bioreactors (MBR) are a promising treatment option for wastewater; it combined physical biological treatment. component MBR one main contributing factors its success. It important know how control parameters bioreactor promote biodegradation hydrocarbons improve efficiency MBR. There been many reviews on effects membrane fouling; however, none discussed process in an impact effluent quality. This review paper investigates hydrocarbon aerobic system by gathering analyzing recent academic literature determine characteristics operational affect process.

Performance of a crossflow membrane bioreactor (CF–MBR) when treating refinery wastewater

The use of a crossflow membrane bioreactor (CF–MBR) in treating wastewater discharged by a petroleum refinery was investigated. The performance of the CF–MBR process was evaluated at MLSS concentrations of 5000 and 3000 mg/l. The process performance was measured in terms of the hydraulic efficiency as well as the COD removal efficiency. A laboratory-scale experimental set-up comprised mainly of...

The Study of Organic Removal Efficiency and Membrane Fouling in a Submerged Membrane Bioreactor Treating Vegetable Oil Wastewater

The characterizations of vegetable oil wastewater (VOW) are unpleasant odor, dark color, and high organic contents, including large amounts of oil and grease (O&G), chemical oxygen demand (COD), fatty acids and lipids. Therefore, VOWs should be treated efficiently to avoid the environment pollution. The aim of present study was the investigation of VOW biological treatment using membrane biorea...
